Thank You Mom !!

Mom, I think it’s time you knew
Just how special you really are.
From the time that I was little
You’ve been deep within my heart.
The things that you’ve taught me
I have learned well.
And the scoldings I got then
I appreciate now.
I’ll never forget the things
That you’ve done for us kids,
Putting us before yourself
And at the top of your list.
You’ve always brought the sunshine
In the middle of a storm,
You’ve made us feel better
With your love and concern.
We haven’t always agreed
About things in my life,
And I’ve disappointed you
Maybe once or twice,
But you still believe in me
And you always back me up,
And that’s why you’re so special
And why you’re loved so very much.
It’s because of who you are
That I am who I am,
And you deserve the best
For being a wonderful mother and friend.

A Mother’s Love

What kind of love would it be
That would work so hard
To make sure you had
Everything you needed?
What kind of love would it be
That would give to you
Even if they themselves
Had nothing?
What kind of love would it be
That would stand by you
Even when most thought
You didn’t deserve it?
What kind of love would it be
That would have pride in you
With all of your good points and bad
And all of your in-between’s?
What kind of love would it be
That would listen to your troubles
Who may not have the answers
But be willing to help?
What kind of love would it be
That would forgive you
For a hurt that you caused
Whether intended or not?
What kind of love would it be
That would accept you
Even if they didn’t understand
Or agree with your choices?
What kind of love would it be
That would always believe in you,
Always have hope for you,
And always have dreams for you?
What kind of love would it be?
An unconditional love.
A mother’s love.
My mother’s love.

Bring My Momma Flowers

Today and everyday
I miss my Momma so.
I miss her precious smile
And the gentle words she spoke.

So Jesus, can you tell her
That I love and miss her much?
Please tell her how I’m thankful
For everything she’s done.

Please bring to her some flowers,
The very ones she loves.
For she deserves so much from me
For all she’s given of.10341901_496200137173192_2464437101734994209_n

Please tell her how I miss the times
That we would sit outside.
I miss her laugh. I miss her touch.
I miss being by her side.

I miss our conversations
And the things that made us giggle
I miss every moment shared
From the time that I was little.

And tell her that, there’ll come a day
You’ll bring me home to be
With her, in your mansion high
For all eternity.

Who is He in yonder stall, at whose feet the shepherds fall?
‘Tis the Lord! O wondrous story!
‘Tis The Lord! The king of glory! At his feet we humbly fall, Crown Him, crown Him Lord of all!
Who is He in deep distress, Fasting in the wilderness?
Who is He that stands and weeps
At the grave where Lazarus sleeps?
Lo! At midnight, who is He
Prays in dark Gethsemane?
Who is He in Calvary’s throes,
Asks for blessing on His foes?
Who is He that from the grave
Rose to seek and bless an save?
Lo! Ascending who is He
Captive leads captivity?
Who is He on yonder throne,
Ruling by His pow’r alone?
‘Tis The Lord! O wondrous story;
‘Tis The Lord! The king of glory
At his feet we humbly fall;
Crown Him, crown Him Lord of all!

  • L.D.I cried. And I cry out… Oh God MOVE ME! Break me. Shatter me. I fall at your feet tears washing off the dust of the miles you walked for me to be more like you! And I am an utter failure Lord God! I scream and cry I need MORE of you GOD so much more!!! Oh God I love you. My very heart hurts knowing you want so much more and I have held back and now I come naked and ashamed once again and ask you to make me more like you and DO WHATEVER IT TAKES! My God here I am! I am nothing but I am willing!

  • LDOh Virgina thank you so much for posting this. Before my son died I was praying and pleading with God to let me hang on the cross as He did. I wanted to go as deep as I could with Him. He said to me… You don’t know what your asking. I said, I don’t care I want ALL of you. I was sobbing. My son died a few months later and I went as deep I think as a human mind go go to the depths of darkness without going insane. But I was now learning the Joy of Suffering. Ohhh it was beyond hard and words cannot express it. But slowly through the years a little bit of fear crept in here or there and I found myself holding back from the Lord a little here a little there and being scared to ever go into that depth of suffering ever again. And watching this video was like God breaking away those strongholds once again and I can say after almost 12 years the above prayer is what I want with all that I am!
